Ok, finally making it back to Nevis since 2008. What is new on the restaurant scene? Heard that Janice Ryan left MPI (where we will be staying). Did Patterson open up his restaurant?
Anyway, looking forward to spending two weeks in November on my favorite Caribbean island!

Patterson runs LIME Restaurant/Beach Bar with Randy.
"Musical chefs" and "Chef of the month" are a fact of life on Nevis - reality is chefs move around among the restaurants and some just grow tried of island life and leave to pursue other opportunities. I honestly can't keep track of who's where.
My memory is a little hazy as to "starting dates" but the following restaurants may be "new" or changed since you last visited in 2008:
Indian Summer - Indian Restaurant across from there Condo's at Nelson Springs.
Sunrise Beach Bar - on the beach by the airport in the place formally occupied by Booby's and Chevy's.
Paradise Take-Out (don't let the name fool you they have a few tables so you can dine there) - located on the main island road above Paradise Beach (near the road to Barnes Ghaut.
Gold Coast Chinese restaurant has relocated to where Eddie's use to be.
Analise, who use to run the bake shop/lunch counter in Superfoods now operates out of Riviere House.
Double Deuce Beach Bar closed up at their old location. They are suppose to rebuild on Pinney's Beach near Sunshine's, Lime and Chevy's.
The restaurant at the Botanical Gardens now serves Thai Food.

And uncharacteristically, CaribSurf neglected to mention Chrishi Beach located where Tequila Sheila used to be. Open for lunch year-round, dinner during high season. Highly recommended.
WOW!!! NevisMoke is right - Chrishi Beach is great. We've been going there regularly since it opened so I didn't focus on it being "new". Anyway, don't miss it, they have fantastic burgers and several other favorites.

Good to read about "new" restaurants. We're returning, this time for 6 weeks, Nov. 16 - Dec. 24 and will be staying in the Oualie area. Previous 4 week stays just not long enough Cheers, Richard.
